Jake McGrory BSc (Hons) MSc MRICS

Jake McGrory holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southampton and a Master’s degree with distinction in Real Estate Development from the University of Westminster. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), specialising in residential valuation and building surveying.

Having grown up in London, Jake began his career in the property sector in 2010 and qualified with the RICS in 2014. His early professional experience included high-volume valuation work primarily for lender clients, alongside Home Buyer Reports and Building Surveys for private individuals. This provided a strong technical grounding across a wide range of property types and instruction profiles.

Jake subsequently focused on prime London residential assets, undertaking valuations across a variety of complex scenarios, including residual development appraisals, HMOs, residential portfolios and new-build schemes. His client base has included specialist and bridging lenders, financial institutions and property funds, requiring robust, time-sensitive and regulation-compliant valuation advice.

Alongside valuation work, Jake has maintained a strong and consistent focus on building surveying, with experience covering listed buildings, non-traditional construction and larger or more complex commercial properties, where a detailed understanding of construction, risk and defect diagnosis is essential.

 

Jake’s broader professional experience includes Red Book valuations, lease extensions and enfranchisement valuations, Party Wall matters, expert witness appointments, insurance reinstatement cost assessments and defect-led building pathology reports. He remains closely involved in all aspects of LPS Advisory’s work, ensuring a high level of technical oversight and professional consistency across each instruction.
